When Zabinski Music Studio lost its location unexpectedly, twin sisters Rebekah and Esther
Zabinski moved operations to a temporary church space—cutting enrollment to 40% and jeopardizing
the future of their school. With over 200 students eager to return and new ones waiting, they found the
perfect permanent space in Pawtucket, but were denied financing due to low temporary enrollment
numbers.
The Zabinskis turned to the Rhode Island Small Business Development Center (RISBDC), which helped them build forward-looking financials and connect with HarborOne Bank. With this support, they secured a $370,000 RI Commerce SSBCI loan, retained 20 jobs, and reopened at full capacity— continuing a proud family legacy in music education. Today, Zabinski Music Studio is once again thriving, stronger than ever.
