When Dana and Lancelot Pinnock launched Hideaway Solutions from their garage in 2017, they had one goal: create smart, space-efficient home furnishings that make everyday living easier. Their flagship product, the Step 180, grew from Lancelot’s engineering mindset and Dana’s experience in retail, design, customer service, and operations. What started as a simple idea has since grown into a thriving 6,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Bristol, with their USA-made products recognized by HGTV, This Old House, House Beautiful, and other national platforms.

The Rhode Island Small Business Development Center has supported Hideaway Solutions since its earliest stages, helping Dana and Lance with business planning, marketing, financing, production, exporting, and connections to partners, such as Polaris MEP and the Chafee Center for International Business. With continued guidance from Providence Center Director Yashwant Meghare and advisor Sandra McNamara, Hideaway Solutions is entering its next phase of growth. Their recognition as SBA 2026 Rhode Island District Manufacturer of the Year celebrates their innovation, resilience, craftsmanship, and commitment to keeping manufacturing strong in Rhode Island.
