Dolce & Salato is an Italian café and restaurant in Providence, Rhode Island, known for its blend of casual charm and refined dining. Founded by Chef Armando Bisceglia and his wife and partner, Gabriella Bisceglia, the café expands on their original concept and is brought to life at their Douglas Avenue location.

By day, it offers Italian pastries, espresso, and light fare. By night, it transforms into “The Armando Experience”—a reservation-only dinner series featuring seasonal dishes, curated wines, and storytelling rooted in Southern Italian tradition.

Chef Bisceglia, a Johnson & Wales graduate and hospitality industry veteran, leads with culinary passion, while Gabriella ensures the warmth and care that guests have come to love. Known for their deep ties to the community, the couple has created a welcoming space that feeds both body and soul and serves as a true neighborhood gathering place.

Armando and Gabriella worked with Maggie Longo, the RISBDC’s food/restaurant/hospitality business advisor, to open the business in the fall of 2024. They continue to work together to position the business for continued success.
