Examines patterns of violent crime and explores theory and research on the causes and consequences of violence. Specific types of violent crime will also be analyzed. (Lec. 3/Online) Pre: C or better in CCJ/SOC 230 or CCJ/SOC 230H and C or better in CCJ/PSC 274 or CCJ/PSC 274H; and Junior or Senior standing or permission of instructor.
