The COVID19 pandemic hopefully has taught us that Public Health preparedness depends on awareness and need for an interconnected response, not just geographically but across disciplines and cultures. Human and veterinary medicine working collaboratively with environmental scientists, wildlife biologists, virologists and parasitologists, entomologists, policymakers and advocates, sociologists, epidemiologists, economists, and regular citizens to avoid emergence of new infectious agents or re-emergence of past plagues.
