Priority 1:

Improve timely matriculation into Degree Granting Colleges for all new students, with a specific focus on special populations including first-year students, Undeclared, adult learners, first-generation, Division 1 Athletes, and Transfer Students

Goals:

  1. Reduce barriers to persistence through intentional course advising, tutoring in foundational courses, credit for prior learning, and accessing career pathways 
  2. Support students in declaration of major and major transition
  3. Provide unique and individualized tiered supports for targeted student populations


Priority 2:

Provide proactive and strategic interventions to reduce the number of students in the academic probation process

Goals:

  1. Create and maintain a mandatory virtual probation module for completion by all students placed on probation
  2. Develop tiered in–person relational support structures for probation students, including 1:1 success coaching and large group education sessions
  3. Increase availability and scope of services providing supplemental academic support: tutoring, academic coaching & academic skills courses
  4. Reduce number of probation students from historically marginalized and underrepresented groups (race & ethnicity, gender, first generation)


Priority 3:

Evolve UCAS courses and course content to support students through academic interventions and equitable engagement in high impact practices

Goals:

  1. Build assessment processes to assess course efficacy
  2. Develop a college curriculum committee to maintain academic integrity associated with each course in collaboration with the College of Education
  3. Track learning outcomes across all college courses to maintain consistency


Priority 4:

 Increase prior learning assessment credit awards and equivalencies in TES

Goals:

  1. Create and maintain intercollegiate joint admissions agreements
  2. Increase articulations with current and new institutions nation-wide and build records archive of articulations
  3. Advance Prior Learning Assessment process and procedures
  4. Promote transfer equivalency service database
