STEPHANIE SAVAGE is an active sister in Sigma Delta Tau, and is the current Philanthropy Chair for her sorority. Stephanie is super involved around campus including different clubs and a part time job. She works at the Daily Grind in the library on campus and is in the Student Entertainment Committee. Aside from giving back to campus by being a URI 101 mentor, Stephanie works with other houses in philanthropic activities. She helped out with Sigma Chi’s “Derby Days,” and is planning a fundraiser with SigEp. Recently, Stephanie planned the SDT annual carnival night to raise money for Prevent Child Abuse America. Stephanie is a proud member of Greek Life and has made long lasting friendships. “I’ve become a more well-rounded person,” she says. “Raising money for a charity such as Prevent Child Abuse America has brought me so much joy in life knowing that what we do as Greeks makes a difference.”  She has loved meeting new people in Greek Life and learn so much from others. In the future, Stephanie hopes to start her own fashion shoe line business and live in New York City. Stephanie is a great role model to the whole community and shows that putting in hard work to planning philanthropy events truly makes an impact in the lives of others. She exemplfies the definiton of community service which is part of URI Greek Life’s Core Values.
