Welcome! If you’re interested in joining a Greek organization at URI, you must be a student at URI & enrolled in classes at URI and are expected to abide by all URI regulations, as stated in the Student Handbook.
All Greek Organizations charge membership fees, also known as Dues, each semester. Dues are required to be paid. Click here to learn more about Greek Life Finances
Culturally Based Fraternities & Sororities conduct their recruitment & intake process on an individual organizational basis, learn more about each organizations on our Culturally Based Greek Organization page
IFC Fraternities recruit in both the Fall & Spring Semester, registration is required to accept a bid.
Panhellenic Sororities recruit during Panhellenic Formal Recruitment in the Fall semester, however not all chapters continue with recruitment during the Spring Semester. Registration is required to participate in sorority recruitment and accept a bid.
Sororities
Fall 2023 Sorority Recruitment Registration Opens June 1st. During Sorority Recruitment, potential new members will meet with 11 NPC sororities in a formal process. Registration is required to participate and costs $55. Registration closes a few days before recruitment begins & is required to participate in Sorority Recruitment. Fraternities
Each fraternity hosts their own calendar of recruitment events at the start of each semester. Fraternity Recruitment Events may be open events or invite only. Fall 2023 Recruitment Registration Opens on June 1. Registration closes at the end of each semester, and is valid for 1 academic year (fall to spring).
