16th Annual URI Spring Festival
URI Cooperative Extension
presents the 16th Annual URI Spring Festival
on May 6th, 2017!
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: URI Kingston Campus
URI Cooperative Extension hosts the East Farm Spring Festival annually to highlight the work of the URI Master Gardener Program and the research and Cooperative Extension activities at the farm. The event draws an estimated 3,000 visitors to the farm annually, with an estimated 4,000 attendees in 2016.
Due to space restrictions and the growth of this successful event over the past 15 years, the URI Spring Festival will be held at the main URI Kingston campus this year. Please join us on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM for the URI Spring Festival.
The mission of the festival is twofold: 1) to provide a forum for education, information sharing and networking amongst URI, partner organizations and the general public; and 2) to highlight URI research, outreach and Cooperative Extension efforts through demonstrations, plant sales, workshops, exhibits and tours.
The 2017 URI Spring Festival will showcase the breadth and public value of the URI Master Gardener Program, whose mission is to disseminate research-based horticultural information to the public.
