URI Master Gardeners are involved in a project to build and support a community garden at the URI Graduate Village established in 2016.  The URI Graduate village is home to many international students and their families. These garden plots are an important source of healthy food to supplement the diet of a population that faces food insecurity.  URI Master Gardeners serve as mentors, sharing vegetable gardening practices with the community gardeners.
