Teaching Blended or Hybrid Courses
In designing and constructing online activities we are engaged in four processes:
1. Designing questions and activities that encourage students to move toward our learning goals.
2. Designing new experiences that build on students’ interests and questions.
3. Responding to their discussions in a way that encourages them to deepen their understanding.
4. Assessing whether our initial questions and activities have helped us to reach our goals.
In practice, of course, these are recursive tasks, which can be revisited at any time during the course.
