Biography

Philip Ryng joined the Academic Testing Center (ATC) team at URI in 2025. A proud URI alumnus from the Class of 2015, Philip brings a strong commitment to supporting both faculty and students through consistent and reliable service. His focus is on fostering a smooth and respectful testing environment that upholds academic integrity and promotes student success.

Outside of work, Philip enjoys spending time with his dog. His home state is Rhode Island and Narragansett is his personal favorite spot.

Primary Responsibilities

Proctors support daily operations of the ATC. This involves administrative duties to prepare for daily testing sessions, facilitating student check-in, proctoring exams, responding to faculty and student questions, and promoting a culture of academic integrity.
