The University Manual is a compilation of statutes, policies, procedures, and descriptions that guide the University of Rhode Island in support of its mission.  It is a source of information regarding the structure, rights, regulations, and practices that govern university life.

Employee Assistance Program

When the University employee’s job performance is adversely affected by personal problems, the University’s commitment to excellence and the general health and welfare of the University community requires that immediate corrective action be taken to assist such employees and their families by referring them to professional counselors. State employees, dependents, and household members can receive FREE confidential assistance with personal and job-related problems.

Title IX

Health Services

The Dr. Pauline B. Wood Health Services is a comprehensive ambulatory health center that provides medical services, office visits, specialty clinics, allergy, immunization and travel services, psychiatric services, and pharmacy, x-ray and laboratory services on site. Our Health Promotion Department provides educational programs along with nutritional services and counseling.

Counseling Center

The URI Counseling Center strives to offer inclusive, culturally-responsive, and socially just services to support students’ mental health & well-being. The URI Counseling Center helps students lead successful and fulfilling lives through individual and group counseling, referrals, outreach programs and online self-assessments. 

URI Police Department

The URI Police Department is responsible for and has jurisdiction over all URI campuses.  We investigate and prosecute all crimes that occur on University property, as well as traffic accidents, traffic violations, and other calls for service.
