Take an active role in your career development by:

  • Attending the College of Business Career Day offered each fall and spring semester. Hear from a panel of alumnus about such topics as their path to their profession,  what skills are necessary to succeed, and what is trending in their industry.
  • Visiting the College of Business Career Fair held after each Career Day.  Companies will be on hand to recruit URI undergraduate and graduate students for internships and full time positions. Companies will also visit Ballentine Hall, home to the College of Business, throughout the semester to recruit one on one and answer questions about their company.
  • Interacting with guest speakers in class or during panel presentations/seminars
  • Participating in College of Business clubs like the American Marketing Association, Financial Management Association, Supply Chain Management Club, Women in Business and more.
  • Meeting with a career advisor to review your resume, cover letter, and conduct a mock interview.  Learn about salary negotiations and more from a wide variety of professional development events run though the URI career development office.
  • Networking during career and social events offered throughout the year.
  • Accessing the online career platform called Handshake, URI’s online career platform for connecting URI students and alumni with employers, jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities.
  • After you graduate from the URI MBA program, you will retain access to career building resources and career assistance.
