Textiles, Fashion Merchandising and Design
Curriculum
You must complete 120 total credits to graduate, with 24 credits in the major, including:
- TMD 103G: Textiles, Fashion & Sustainability
- TMD 126: Intro to Design
- TMD 224: Culture, Dress and Appearance
- TMD 232: Fashion Retailing
- TMD 303: Textile Science
- TMD 313: Textile Science Lab
- TMD 402: Seminar in Textiles and Clothing
- TMD 433: Textile Markets
- TMD 240: Development of Contemporary Fashion, TMD 440: Historic Textiles, TMD 441: History of Western Dress, or TMD 426: History & Contemporary Furniture
TMD majors are required to take 18 credits of professional electives. 9 of the 18 credits must be in one subject matter area. TMD classes cannot be used for professional electives.
