Biological and Environmental Sciences
Overview
The Evolution and Marine Biology (EMB) graduate group focuses on understanding the diversity of form and function of terrestrial and marine organisms. We draw from evolutionary, developmental, and physiological perspectives, and apply these approaches to biodiversity, the environment, and human health. Areas of specialization include evolutionary genomics and population biology, marine biology, morphology and development, and science education and communication.
A strong advisor-student relationship is central to the EMB program. Prospective students should contact faculty directly to explore mutual interests before applying.
