Counseling Center
The URI Counseling Center provides services to enhance the personal, academic, emotional, social, and life planning effectiveness of students. These services may include crisis intervention, individual counseling, group counseling, referrals for psychiatric assessment, and mental health screening.
Disability Services
Disability Services for Students works with students and all units of URI to foster an inclusive, welcoming, and accessible environment. We work with you, our students, to support academic success and self-advocacy.
LGBTQ Services
The University of Rhode Island’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ) Center is a cultural department that allows students, faculty, and staff to explore and affirm their multiple and intersecting identities, especially surrounding gender and sexuality.
Multicultural Student Services Center
The URI Multicultural Center (MCC) is a place dedicated to developing a supportive and inclusive campus culture across the boundaries of culture, identity, and discipline. Celebrating unity in diversity, the Multicultural Center invites all of it’s students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and other friends to join in its work in creating a community of learners within and beyond URI.
Office of National Fellowships and Academic Opportunities
Applying for a competitive fellowship can be a transformative experience. The process challenges you to acknowledge your academic achievements, your leadership ability, and your experiences, and to think about your goals. A fellowship award not only provides funding, but can connect you to other students and scholars with similar interests, and serve as a springboard to even greater opportunities.
The Graduate Writing Center
Provides writing support to all URI doctoral and master’s students to foster the continuing development of academic and professional writing skills necessary to succeed in graduate programs and academic or professional careers.
Women’s Center
The URI Women’s Center partners with others in the URI community to provide an empowering space which promotes social justice for every member of the community, regardless of gender, gender identity, body, ability, sexual orientation, race, spirituality, and ethnicity.
Writing Center
The Writing Center provides individual and group support for undergraduate students in all disciplines, at all stages of the writing process.
