Biography

Sejal Lanterman is a Cooperative Extension Educator with the University of Rhode Island, where she coordinates fellowships focused on environmental management, food systems, and agriculture.  Sejal also co-coordinates the RI Good Agricultural Practices Program with the RI Department of Environmental Management and serves as an FDA Lead Trainer under the Food Safety Modernization Act’s Produce Safety Rule, working closely with fruit and vegetable growers, volunteers, and state agencies. She teaches food preservation courses for home gardeners and the public, and is passionate about expanding access to science-based food safety education. Her work supports the health and sustainability of local food systems across Rhode Island. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Technology from the University of Rhode Island.
