Abstract: In this talk, ML Tlachac will provide an overview of digital mental health screening research with a focus on digital phenotyping data. The presentation will include insights into research involving audio-visual modalities as well as ML Tlachac’s dissertation work on using text logs for mental illness screening. The discussion will encompass the entire process from data collection to model evaluation, with a specific emphasis on comparing the screening potential of text logs with and without content. Feature engineering with text log metadata, including the extraction of time series and reply latency features for the screening models, will also be covered. This talk aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the current state of digital mental health screening with text logs.
