Undergraduate Research
Overview
Most of your professors devote a significant part of their career to research, which is the discovery of new knowledge in their discipline. The Department of Computer Science and Statistics welcomes students at all levels to conduct research with faculty. We have many undergraduates who do research with our faculty, and many of these students consider this among the most rewarding experiences from their time at URI.
If you would like to learn more about research opportunities but are unsure how to get involved, you can click on the Getting Involved tab above. You can also learn about specific research opportunities through the Opportunities tab, and about projects that other undergraduate students have worked on through the Student Projects tab. To read more about the different research areas of the various faculty members in the department, go to the Department Research page and explore their own research pages.
We invite you to check out the profiles of several URI undergraduate students who have been involved in research on the Student Projects tab.
For information about undergraduate research courses, see the Courses tab.
