Finding community, and feeling a sense belonging is vital to a positive and successful college experience. Members of the disability identity community can find it difficult to connect with others who share similar diagnoses and life experiences, due to confidentiality, stigma, and other factors. DAI values creating and supporting spaces for our community to connect in meaningful and affirming ways.
SADA/A – The Student Advocacy for Disability Awareness/Action – a new student-lead organization “Unifying the disability community to increase awareness, decrease stigma, and make URI a more inclusive and accessible place.”
