- MESM Graduate Student, University of Rhode Island
Biography
My background is in film and media, and my passions are in wildlife conservation and psychology. Prior to enrolling in the Environmental Science and Management master’s program at the University of Rhode Island, I attended Providence College and earned a bachelor’s degree in the humanities. After graduating in 2018, I worked for several media and film companies, including ABC News as an associate producer and editor. By choosing the communications track in the MESM program, my goal is to use my skills in videography, writing, and editing to tell stories that inspire audiences about the natural world. I am also interested in promoting mental health awareness and advocacy through the use of story-mapping and new emerging media formats. Along with completing the MESM program, I intend to obtain a certificate in GIS and remote sensing. My plan is to graduate from URI in the spring of 2024.
