On Thursday, February 21st,2019 at 5 pm in Chafee 801, the Economics Student Association hosted what was a VERY useful workshop on internships!
The meeting had two parts:
1. Doug Ouimette, the Economics specialist at the URI Center for Careers and Experiential Education (CCEE), provided advice on what to do in an interview.
2. A panel of economics students who have had internships talked about their experience. Each student talked about how they found their internship, what they did on their internship (did they use economics? work on a particular project?), and if they got credit or pay, among other things. The audience also had a chance to ask questions. The meeting lasted about an hour.
