The Engineering for Democracy Institute (EDI) is providing a free application (Every Minute Counts: Voter Operations & Experience [EMC*VOX] App) (the “Application”) for academic data collection as relates to the timing of polling place processes for elections in the United States of America.
Use this page to request the deletion of an account created for the EMC*VOX App.
How to Request Deletion
Accounts are issued by an Administrator. There is no in-app account creation or self-service deletion. Email us at edi@etal.uri.edu and include the username used to sign in. If you know your organization’s name, please include it so we can find the account.
What We Delete
After we verify the request, we will delete:
- Your account, username, and login credentials
- Role and organization assignment
- Last login and other account activity tied to the account
We complete verified requests within 30 days of receipt and will email the address from which the request was submitted once it is completed.
What We May Keep
Field observations (for example: wait times, station counts, and location names) may be kept in a form that no longer identifies you, for election research.
Data on Your Device
Signing out or uninstalling Every Minute Counts: Voter Operations & Experience removes the signed-in session and other app data stored on that device. User deletion still requires the email request as explained above.
