URI FAFSA Completion Sessions

URI is hosting virtual FAFSA completion sessions for incoming students looking to complete the 2025-26 FAFSA. Before you start a session, you will need to create a studentaid.gov account (also called FSA username) via the Federal Student Aid website. The student and their contributors (parent for dependent students) will need their own accounts.

What you will need to complete the FAFSA:

Student FSA Username and Password
Parent (contributor) FSA Username and Password
Access to a laptop or computer
The student and parent (Contributor) Social Security Number
The student’s Alien Registration number, if the student is not a US citizen
Some students may need:
– The student’s (and spouse if married) Federal Tax Return OR
– Parent (contributor) Federal Tax Return and W2 (if the student is dependent)
