May 20th: Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Review
Financial Aid eligibility for returning 2025-26 students will begin today. Students who are not meeting SAP will be notified through URI email.  Details on the appeal process for extenuating circumstances are in the email and also available here.  This is separate from and in addition to the merit scholarship renewal review that will take place later this week.”

May 9th: Update on Summer Federal Pell Grant
URI is currently experiencing an issue with recalculating and awarding Federal Pell Grants for the Summer 2025 term. Students who may be eligible to receive the grant this summer, should use the Summer Federal Pell Grant Estimator to estimate their potential grant funding in the meantime. URI is working diligently with our software vendor to get this fixed as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience as we work to get Pell recipients updated information for this summer.
