The Social and Behavioral Sciences Learning Outcome (A2) focuses on our understanding of people’s behavior individually and collectively. As members of the URI community and broader society, students’ grasp of the social and behavioral dynamics engrained in a community plays an important role in shaping their thoughts, decisions, and interactions with those surrounding them. For students of all disciplines, exposure to the social and behavioral sciences early in their academic careers encourages students to reflect on how these dynamics influence the acceptance of issues, policy, and governance within their field of study.
