The General Education Program at the University of Rhode Island is comprised of a wide breadth of interdisciplinary courses that satisfy one or more the 12 Student Learning Outcomes and the Grand Challenge Overlay. With a majority of the 347 courses currently offered at the 100 and 200 level, the General Education Program offers students the opportunity to shape their education early in their academic career. Collectively, these offerings deliver a student-focused experience that builds the foundation for life-long learning and success.
