Decide on the Type of Proposal

All courses that have not been approved for the general education program must submit either a New Course or Course Change Proposal. For clarification on the distinctions between categories, the Faculty Senate has a Curricular Procedures link that lists the changes in a course that it considers to be significant enough to warrant a course change or new course proposal. Here is a short guide for this choice.

  1. Select New Course if your course has no existing course number.
  2. Select Change Course if you are changing any of the following: course title, course number, number of credits, method of instruction, prerequisites, e-campus/catalog description, grading method.

Next Step: Once you have determined the type of proposal, you must then select two student-learning outcomes that will be included in your course.
