The Department of Geosciences offers a single major that provides a comprehensive foundation in the geosciences, with two specialization options: geology and geological oceanography.
Graduate Programs
The M.S. and Ph.D. in Biological and Environmental Sciences (BES) are interdisciplinary, interdepartmental graduate degrees with faculty from multiple departments in the College of the Environment and Life Sciences (CELS).
The Environmental and Earth Sciences graduate specialization (EVES) focuses on the history, dynamics, condition, and interpretation of Earth’s environments, celebrating innovative science communication and authentic assessment of the social and environmental justice implications of our research.
