Chapter Status

In compliance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act, the University is dedicated to transparency and accountability in addressing hazing incidents. This report provides detailed information on instances where there is a finding of hazing following a report to campus security authorities or local police, which includes the nature of the incidents, the organizations involved, and the outcomes of investigations. By openly sharing this information, we aim to raise awareness, promote prevention, and ensure the well-being of all students.

The Stop Campus Hazing Act is applicable to ALL  student groups at University of Rhode Island, not just Fraternities & Sororities.

Suspended Organizations

The following Greek-letter organizations were either suspended or removed by the University of Rhode Island and their Executive Office.  When a suspension term is completed, the group is eligible to return to URI.  Students should not be seeking membership in organizations during the time an organization is suspended from URI. Doing so is a violation of the Student Handbook Policy and at places students risk for health and safety given the reasons the organizations were suspended.

Pi Kappa Alpha Health & Safety: Violation of Alcohol & Hazing Policy.
Chapter Suspension. Chapter Suspension is an involuntary separation of the chapter from the University effective December 8, 2025 through May 31, 2031.
Health & Safety:
Chapter is suspended and the charter Revoked effective December 9, 2025. All New Members are released from membership and all current members are expelled from the fraternity.
