URI Greek Life has taken home another set of awards and recognition from the awards banquet at NGLA 2023. The Northeast Greek Leadership Association (NGLA) represents Greek Communities across the Northeast region, from Maine to Maryland to Western Pennsylvania. The NGLA Annual Conference, hosted February 23th-26th in Pittsburgh, brought together nearly 1,000 students and Greek professionals for an educational conference focused on leadership development & fraternal values.
We are honored to announce that the Greek Community at URI has accepted two awards for Public Relation sand Civic Engagement. URI was represented by eight student delegates from the Interfraternity & Panhellenic Council, along with three advisors; who attended the conference and participating in educational programs during the weekend. Jared Edwards, IFC President, Leah Prak, Panhellenic President, and Alison Burke, Assistant Director were selected to present during a breakout session that filled and captivated the room. The delegation had an amazing experience, learning how to better their leadership skills for our community, and is proud to bring back the awards to Kingston.
URI has received awards and recognition from NGLA for the last 15 years, and continues to demonstrate why we are the best in the Northeast.
