URI Greek Life has taken home another set of awards and recognition from the awards banquet at NGLA 2020. The Northeast Greek Leadership Association (NGLA) represents Greek Communities across the Northeast region, from Maine to Maryland to Western Pennsylvania. The NGLA Annual Conference, hosted February 27th-March 1st in Baltimore, brought together nearly 1,000 students and Greek professionals for an educational conference focused on leadership development & fraternal values.
We are honored to announce that the Greek Community at URI has accepted 3 awards for Public Relations, Civic Engagement, and Risk Reduction and 2 honorable mentions for Organizational Development and Leadership and Membership, Recruitment, and Intake. URI was represented by 8 student delegates from the Interfraternity & Panhellenic Council, attending the conference and participating in educational programs during the weekend. The delegation had an amazing experience, learning how to better their leadership skills for our community, and is proud to bring back 5 awards to Kingston.
URI has received awards and recognition from NGLA for the last 10 years, and continues to demonstrate why we are the best in the Northeast.
