S. Bradley Moran has taken a post with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy as assistant director, ocean sciences. He will focus on implementing the U.S. Ocean Science Policy and assume responsibility for a broad range of ocean, coastal, and marine resource-related matters. Moran is on leave as professor at the University of Rhode Island’s Graduate School of Oceanography. He most recently served as program director in the chemical oceanography program at the National Science Foundation.
