Metcalf Session at Journalists’ Conference to Feature GSO Faculty and Provide Unique Communications Experience for GSO Graduate Students
Organized by Sunshine Menezes, Metcalf Institute’s Executive Director, Tatiana Rynearson, GSO Associate Professor and Metcalf Science Co-Director, will be a featured panelist at the Society of Environmental Journalists Conference in New Orleans, September 3-7. The panel will explore the effects of climate change in polar environments. As part of a National Science Foundation STRES grant, GSO graduate students Kelly Canesi and Tara Stevens, under the direction of Metcalf Communications Director Karen Southern, will provide live tweets of SEJ conference sessions, interact with journalists and science writers from all over the country, take environmental field trips in and around New Orleans, and blog about their experiences. Learn more.
