crc tanzania_debsbeadsFor four decades the Coastal Resources Center (CRC) has been recognized internationally as a leader in the development and implementation of coastal management programs and policies. Across Rhode Island, the United States and in developing countries around the world, CRC promotes sustainable use of coastal resources by building on a strong foundation of field projects, good governance initiatives, capacity development, community engagement and knowledge sharing. CRC applies its expertise to such pressing issues as climate change adaptation, sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, marine spatial planning, biodiversity and conservation, poverty alleviation and gender equity as they relate to coastal communities and ecosystems.
