The URI Chapter of the Society for Women in Marine Science (SWMS) is hosting their first annual SWMS Spring Symposium on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at the URI Bay Campus. The program will focus on mentoring and career choices available to women and minorities in marine science. Keynote speakers include Dr. Bethany Jenkins (URI) and Catalina Martinez (NOAA). We will also have workshops led by other marine scientists, networking opportunities, and abundant time for small group discussions. You can find the programs from our previous fall events here. Registration is now available through February 28, so don’t wait to sign up! A waitlist will be started for anyone who signs up after the deadline or if registration fills before that time. Thanks to generous donations from sponsors, there will be a free option, and an inability to pay should not stop you from attending the symposium! For questions about registration or symposium content, call (401) 874-6408; or email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Find out more about SWMS from their website.
