GSO professor Isaac Ginis was quoted in recent news articles as Hurricane Florence threatened the North Carolina coast.

“When we talk about the future, and we know that we are facing global warming already and the temperature of the ocean is increasing and will continue to increase, that means more fuel for hurricanes. Although the total number of storms may not change, those storms that do develop will have more chance to intensify.”
