Improved hurricane forecast models

The work of GSO professor Isaac Ginis and his colleagues to improve models to better prepare for hurricane hazards – funded by the Department of Homeland Security in partnership with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – is making a significant contribution to risk management in coastal areas.
