Contact Tracing

COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation Guidance by Population

Contact tracing is key to slowing the spread of COVID-19 and helps protect you, your family, and your community by:

  • Letting people know they may have been exposed to COVID-19 and should monitor their health for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.
  • If there is a confirmed exposure, the close contact should test on day 1 and day 5, and if they develop symptoms.
  • Asking people to self-isolate if they have COVID-19.

Please note: Students should be sure to answer any calls they may receive from URI Health Services and the Rhode Island Department of Health as they will be providing important health information.

For more information on contact tracing please visit the Rhode Island Department of Health website.
