Transfer Students
Congratulations on your admission to URI! We are delighted you have decided to become a part of the URI community. The information on this page will help you to become one of the hundreds of incoming transfer students who annually choose to live in our residence halls. Whether it’s the opportunity to meet many new friends, the experience of a home away from home, or the easy access to so many of URI’s amazing services and resources, our residence halls provide a vibrant on-campus living and learning experience.
Since incoming transfer students are admitted on a rolling basis throughout the spring and summer, we will assign you to housing on a first-come, first-served basis once you submit your housing application. However, if you submit your housing application by the Returning Student Room Selection application priority deadline of February 15th, you’ll be invited to select your own housing assignment by yourself or with a group of friends.

**Incoming transfer students who submit an online housing application by the Returning Student Room Selection application priority deadline (February 15th at 4:00pm ET) will be invited to participate in the Room Selection process.
