Dropping or Adding a Course
Students may drop or add a J Term course according to the following schedule:

| Last day to drop | January 3 |
Students are not eligible to withdraw from J Term courses after the drop deadline. Thus, students will never see a “W” on a transcript related to a J Term course. For complete information regarding adding and dropping, please refer to the J Term billing and reassessment calendar.
Students enduring “unusual exceptional circumstances” that can be documented, may discuss with their J Term instructor(s) and dean’s office the pursuit of a petition for a late drop after the drop deadline has passed. Please note that URI Enrollment Services reserves the right to deny such petitions, even if they have been signed off on by the J Term instructors and respective dean’s office.
