NEACSM 2018

“On November 8th & 9th 2018, students, faculty and alumni represented URI at the New England American College of Sports Medicine conference in Providence, Rhode Island.  During the conference URI students and faculty attended lectures, and professional workshops linked to the conference’s theme, “From Alpha to Omega: Human Performance Across the Lifespan.”

URI’s research was on display with undergraduate student Richard Lisi and graduate students Andrew Stranieri and Domenic Angelino, presenting their research in the free communications section of the conference while and faculty Dr. Ward-Ritacco and Dr. Earp presented their lab’s research in lecture format.

URI Students Rachel Sardinha, Richard Lisi and Samantha Torres also competed in the NEACSM college bowl in which they answered exercise science questions in a Jeopardy format against over 25 other New England school finishing in 4th place.
