Ideal candidates for this position will be sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have participated in either LDR (HDF) 190 or LDR (HDF) 290 and are in good academic standing and good standing with the University. Spring 2025 Selection Process
- Completed applications are due: Thursday, 11/07/2024 via the form below
- Interview invitations to be sent: Friday, 11/08/2024
- Interviews in the Memorial Union week of November 18
- Selection announcements will be via email by November 22 and must be accepted by November 25 to obtain your permission number to register for LDR 415 for spring 2025.
Important dates
Applicants must be available for all stated times below in order to be considered for the position. There may be additional trainings in spring 2025 that will be noted in the forthcoming syllabus.
- Thursday, December 12, 2024 (Reading Day), 9:30 AM-11:30 PM: Peer Leader Retreat. Attendance is required to serve in this role. The retreat agenda includes training and scheduling, so save the date now, and bring your calendars then.
- Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30 PM, Spring 2025: LDR 415 Peer Leadership class meets (in-person). Attendance is required to serve in this role. Permission numbers will be distributed once selections have been made.
- Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00-3:15 PM, Spring 2025: LDR 190 class meets (in-person). Attendance is required to serve in this role.

Please be prepared to discuss your interest and qualifications for this role in addition to any concerns or support you feel you will need to be successful. Please also be prepared to deliver a 3-5 minute informative presentation on one of the leadership theories listed below, as well as how you have applied the theory in your involvement thus far. Theories will be assigned and you will be notified in your interview invitation:
