Can maple products be used for beauty purposes? The answer is yes!
Researchers at the University of Rhode Island are actively researching the effects of a red maple leaf extract, called Maplifa™, and how it can be utilized for beauty and skin products. It has been shown to be an antioxidant, protect your body from skin cancer, and help the collagen in your skin.
The study analyzed the red maple leaf extract’s ability to fight oxidative stress within cell cultures. The findings showed that Maplifa™ helps to prevent cell death and provide your cells with protection against harmful molecules. This study shows that maple extracts serve as natural alternatives to synthetic chemicals and could be used in the beauty industry in the near future.
