Ensuring the safety and sustainability of our drinking water is fundamental to safeguarding public health and preserving our environment. From source water to the water that comes out of the tap, effective protection is crucial for maintaining the quality and reliability of this vital resource. RI NEMO currently works with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) to update source water assessments for small community water systems and work with the RIDOH Center for Drinking Water Quality to sample for lead in drinking water in schools and daycares throughout the state.
