Accelerated B.S. to M.S. Program (ABM)
Welcome from the Director of the ABM Program in Nutrition
Thank you for your interest in URI’s ABM in Nutrition Program! After reviewing the website, please email me with interest - I look forward to meeting with you!
The Accelerated B.S. to M.S. (ABM) Program allows you to complete the required coursework for both a Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) and Master of Science degree (M.S.) while conducting research and writing a thesis with a major professor on an accelerated timeline of 5 years. As an undergraduate student, you can pursue a B.S. in Nutrition or a B.S. in Dietetics and as a graduate student, you will pursue a M.S. in Nutrition.
This research-based program must be initiated while you are an undergraduate student at URI. You will complete the B.S. degree requirements and graduate with a B.S. degree by the end of the Spring semester of year four.
In your fourth year, you will begin work on your M.S. degree. You will simultaneously complete M.S. coursework, research, and thesis requirements over the next 2 semesters. You will graduate with your M.S. degree in the spring of your fifth year.
