Valuable continuing education credits are available for nurses attending the lecture at no charge
Join the University of Rhode Island College of Nursing at the Higgins Welcome Center on the Kingston campus Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. for an important discussion with a well-being expert about the toll the pandemic has taken on nurses, and their need for improved self-care. The lecture, which is available at no charge, includes valuable continuing education credit for nurses.
The pandemic and its wake have brought untold challenges to everyone, but especially to nurses. Many have experienced grief, loss and overwhelming uncertainty. Nurses need to find a way to care for themselves in order to rebound from one of the most trying periods in history. Nurse practitioner and well-being expert Dr. Eileen O’Grady will present an interactive program with science-backed resiliency tools for health care workers. These tools include:
- Boundary setting and putting yourself in your day.
- How to become the CEO of your own life.
- The importance of using bedrock behaviors using habit science.
Join us for this lively, supportive discussion to explore strategies to pursue your own well-being, first and foremost, in this unprecedented time.
