Ph.D. Dissertation Procedures

Graduation Procedures
It is your responsibility to meet the deadlines posted in the Graduate Academic Calendar to ensure that you graduate on time. All potential graduate degree candidates must:
- Submit a Program of Study (POS) by the second semester of study; the POS must be filed prior to filling out a Nomination for Graduation form.
- Programs of Study (POS) forms can be found on the Graduate School Forms webpage. Please note that there are different forms for Certificate, Master’s, and Doctoral programs.
- Meet with their advisor to review remaining courses required for graduation.
- Nominate yourself for graduation in e-campus at the beginning of the semester you plan to graduate: Guide to Applying for Graduation Using E-Campus.
- Complete the Nomination for Graduation form electronically. Please note that there are different forms for Certificate, Master’s, and Doctoral programs.
- The Graduate School will contact you via email once your nomination for graduation has been approved.
