Data Analytics for Accounting and Auditing Graduate Certificate

This Graduate Certificate focuses on data analytics as it applies to accounting and auditing as opposed to a singular area.

Additionally, the program includes an independent study allowing students to develop effective skills in communicating data analysis information.

MAC511: Data Analytics for Accounting
MAC512: Data Analytics for Auditing
MAC518: Directed Study in Accounting

Admission Criteria
  • Accounting or Finance degree from an accredited institution OR sufficient corporate finance experience*
  • 3.0 or higher GPA preferred*
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Resume/CV

*Applicants with a degree outside of accounting or finance or a GPA lower than 3.0, may be considered for provisional admission — please contact online@uri.edu before applying to discuss eligibility.

Master the skills needed to meet the demand within the accounting and auditing fields.

This online program provides CPA candidates with the expertise needed to sit for the CPA exam under the new format incorporating data analytics in January 2024.

With this program, CPA license candidates who graduated from an undergraduate program with more than 120 credits can earn the necessary credits to fulfill the 150 hour requirement for licensure.
